Family Camp – Irvine Outdoor Education Center Aug. 23-25

Parents, we are pleased to announce that Pack 227 has made reservations at the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center from Friday, Aug. 23 to Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013. Irvine Ranch is operated by the Orange County Council of the Boy Scouts of America. It is located within the Irvine Regional Park in the city of Orange (approximate 30 minute drive from Huntington Beach).
The facility provides a wide variety of activities including a pool and water slide, archery and BB gun range
and zip line (min. age for zip line is 8). On Friday night those interested can go on a night hike and on Saturday night we will have a campfire in the amphitheater. For more information on Irvine Ranch please go to their website ( www.iroec.webs.com)  or see this flyer  Irvine Ranch002
The cost for everything is $75 per person. This includes 4 meals (Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner and Sunday breakfast). Since we will be camping you will need to bring your own tent, sleeping bag, etc. Siblings are welcome. We currently have reservations for 75 people. Please look at your summer calendar and let me know if you are interested in attending. If you get me a check (made payable to “Pack 227”) then you are guaranteed a spot. Checks can be dropped off at the St. Bonaventure School office, mailed to me (4841 Curtis Circle, HB 92649) or given to me at a Pack meeting. Don’t let the slots fill up before you decide !
This will be a great weekend and fun for the entire family. If you have any questions or need additional information please e-mail (tscully@wfbm.com) or call me (714) 392-6698.
