Camperall Begins Tonight!

“Camperall” is scheduled to begin tonight and run through Sunday morning. It will be held at Huntington Beach Central Park. The theme this year is “Wanted: Eagle Scouts”. Camperall is geared primarily toward 1st and 2nd year Webelos. Pack 227 will have many of its Webelos participating.

According to the Pacifica District Website:“…we’re in the hunt for some Webelos that want to muster up their cowboy courage and experience the Wild Wild West with hundreds of their fellow Webelos from around Pacifica District. Webelos should expect to cowboy up and giddyup to success in Scouting by learning and demonstrating their Scouting skills and Scout spirit! They’ll be surrounded by hundreds of Boy Scouts and adult Scouters and will have some serious wild west fun! That’s what Webelos Camperall is all about.”

For those not familiar with Camperall, Webelos Scouts and their parents will be camping at HB Central Park beginning tonight. Tomorrow they will work as “patrols” in showing their skill and knowledge in various competitions dealing with such things as knots, first aid and tent building. Despite the fact that Camperall is meant to help Webelos transition to Boy Scouts ALL Cub Scouts are welcome. Tigers, Wolves and Bears will have an opportunity to participate in activities on an individual basis. They can also cheer Pack 227 Webelos Scouts as they compete. Given the convenient location of HB Central Park we encourage ALL Pack 227 parents and Scouts to stop by. You can stay an hour or stay all day (but you will be responsible for your own lunch and/or dinner) ! The point is that it will give you a good taste of what Scouting is all about. If you do decide to attend we ask that your Scout be in FULL uniform.
