Pack Charity 2014-2015

This last year, the scouts of Pack 227 collected $659 for the Orangewood Children’s Foundation. Starting this month, we began collecting for this year’s charity. At the November pack meeting, each Scout was given a plastic container (ie. “bank”) to collect loose change and donations. If your Scout was not at the pack meeting, he can pick up a “bank” at the next Pack Meeting (Dec. 1). We ask that Scouts turn in any collected money at each Pack Meeting between now and next October.

This year’s selected pack charity is the Wooden Floor, an arts-based youth development nonprofit in Santa Ana, California. Providing under-served youth with free year-round dance education, academic and college preparatory programs, and family services, The Wooden Floor is striving to break the cycle of poverty. Please help make this worthwhile charity a success.
